Yvonne Sanchez got her start in music as a percussionist with Polish national names such as Joseph Skrzek. They performed across Poland until Yvonne moved to Prague, CZ. This time as a vocalist into the world of jazz. Her first performance as a singer came in 1995, was the initial step in a carrier path that would blossom quickly and by 1998 Sanchez won the hearts and minds of the Czech Jazz community winning the 1998 award for best jazz vocalist of the year. In 2001 Sanchez released her first Album entitled "Invitation" (Cube Metier) which expanded on her jazz background which incorporating elements of Latin music Bossa Nova and Samba. The album was well received and was nominated for the Czech music awards in the category of Jazz/Blues. Yvonne Sanchez second album, a more jazz/pop - oriented affair entitled "My garden", where Yvonne Sanchez composes, arranges, performs and produces this album under Warner Music 2008. "My Garden" reaches gold and is nominated for album of the year. Her third and latest album entitled "Songs of Love" (Supraphon 2011) this time Sanchez would team up with Pedro Tagliani an incredible Brazilian guitarist. They fusion of Brazilian element mixed with jazz and pop ballads as well as original compositions by Yvonne Sanchez, was recorded live, was also well received.
